This work is the artist’s self-examination and profound respect for individual life.Taking Dunhuang murals as its source material, the piece cuts out the figures’ outlines into negative hollow space, and inlays wavy mirror panels within these openings. Visitors can catch their own reflections inside the mirrors.The hues of Dunhuang paintings blend seamlessly with the viewers’ reflected images. It becomes an ingenious reinterpretation of traditional culture within our contemporary context.
