​Fragments

The series Fragments takes up an entire large wall in the exhibition hall. The display resembles a collection of working notes or a glimpse into the artist’s studio from recent years, full of experimental spirit, a sense of incompletion and great potential for further extension. These abundant leftover pieces trace Zhang Yanzi’s intellectual threads spanning twenty years. They serve as footnotes to her more polished major works, as well as the very source of her creative inspiration.
